So tonight I participated in firewhiskeyfic, in which you get drunk and write. I had about a third of a bottle of amaretto and wrote about 1000 words of "wait, I'm not supposed to have a roommate" original fic. I think I may have written that scenario already once... but I'm doing it a differently this time, I think the other time was fanfiction and this is original fic. And also the fanfiction one is probably never going to get finished.
Anyway, I sobered up, and now I'm supposed to be helping Alicia move except she's not here, so if she doesn't show up by 12:30 I'm just going to go get stoned by myself down by the lake and go back and write some more. Mary and I also put up most of my posters tonight so the room looks almost all set up now, I just have a couple more boxes left to empty.
My back is killing me though. I hate the desk chairs they give us here, they're so uncomfortable.
I'm glad that it wasn't just TNG, but they could have added some Voyager and DS9 characters to it. Not that I think I would be more like any of them, just sayin'.
Mary and I got our bunkbeds today! So the whole room is moved around, and we're not done moving things yet... still, most of the boxes have been emptied, and we are well on our way to having the room set up in a way we can live in it for the next nine months. My bookshelf is all set up (and I brought way too many books and DVDs, as I thought), my desk is mostly organized, and the rat bastards are finally out of the closet and under my desk, which means the whole room is going to smell like rat instead of just my clothes, but we have plenty of air freshener and candles and things, so it won't be too bad, and I will change the cage regularly.
Today my Threadless shirts came in! I am super excited about them. I have a whole week's worth of new shirts. They're all super. I'm going to wear the brain-shaped one to Biopsych on Tuesday and see if Dr. B. notices it. I think I might wear the one with the psychiatrist owl to Psych Club on Monday. I don't have anything special for the rest of the week, I'll just pick shirts as they appeal to me.
I am now part of SEVEN clubs on campus, because when I was at Campus Greens Will told me that Bookworms is reading Adverbs by Daniel Handler, and I am ALL OVER THAT. So. At least Bookworms doesn't meet weekly, I think they only meet a few times a semester. And I will be getting a free copy of Adverbs, which I remember really liking when I borrowed Kristin's copy. And it gives me more opportunity to talk to Will, who I think is totally cool. He actually turned me on to St. Vincent, who I have been listening to pretty much nonstop all week.
I had lunch with Alicia and Jason today. Alicia is moving from Main to Fairlane tonight, so I am going to come over and smoke some weed and help her move. She made it an event on Facebook and sixteen people said they'd help, so we should be done in about twenty minutes, and then we can all just hang out in Fairlane. I had to run to the Med Center to pick up my pills this afternoon and on the way back to Weld I passed Ben, who is another denizen of Fairlane, and he patted me on the back randomly and I just had to laugh. Ben is super chill. Pretty much everyone who lives in Fairlane is super chill.
Now it is dinner time and I am going to get a crepe! Yay!
Multiple questions encouraged.

Venture Bros fic:
also I have been writing things in my notebook, so here is what those would be called if they were files:
(VB) tranquilizer darts are not aphrodesiacs
(VB) that thing no one ever talks about
(original) backrubs without ulterior motives possibly exist but nobody has ever seen one
msdillydally gave me the letter F:
fencing - frogs - Florence and the Machine - flowers - Fall Out Boy
The one who seduced you and screwed you over and broke your heart in a million pieces and laughed about it.
Torchwood. Killing off everyone I love is an excellent way to ensure I won't finish watching you and will never come back to you again.
The old flame you don't see very often any more but whom you still really enjoy getting together with for a few drinks and maybe a pleasant nostalgic romp in the sheets.
Stargate Atlantis. Every so often I'll flip back through my Delicious links and pick out an SGA story to curl up with on a quiet night. I never saw season 5 so all my memories of the show are still fond ones.
The mysterious dark gothy one whom you used to sit up with talking until 3a.m. at weird coffeehouses and with whom you were quite smitten until you realized she really was fucking crazy.
Neon Genesis Evangelion, a.k.a. the fandom that legit drove me insane after I stayed up for two days straight mainlining it. Seriously, the first major depressive episode I can remember started the day after I did that. I'm still tempted to download the new movies and see how they're different...

Your result for The Sorting Hat: A Comprehensive Harry Potter Personality Assessment [Test/Quiz]...
63% Ravenclaw, 46% Hufflepuff, 47% Slytherin and 42% Gryffindor!
Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
if you've a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind;
The cardinal traits of Ravenclaw are intellect, wit and openness to experience. They are the most introverted house of the four. Ravenclaws are more likely to prefer small gatherings of like-minded individuals and require recooperation after stressful social interaction. These individuals are intuitive creatures, the quintessential researchers. They lack the stubborn, strict, and rule-abiding qualities that would inhibit intellectual growth—one can't be too set in their ways if they are to be open to exploring new ideas and paths of thought. In contrast to Slytherin and Gryffindor, Ravenclaws in general are much more emotionally stable. Their reactions seem dampened compared to the sometimes dramatic responses of the other houses—they're much less likely to get offended, they're more open to criticism, not particularly argumentative and interested in hearing different points of view. They can at times seem to be less interested in people and more interested in their own inner world, and appear to be disconnected from the rest of humanity.
Ambition is secondary to them. Although they may strive to excel in school, knowledge and self-enrichment is the primary goal as opposed to simply wanting good marks. If they do happen to strive for excellence, it is because it fits with their other goals, not out of a desire to be superior or the best. Due to their intuitiveness and willingness to listen, Ravenclaws can be empathetic and make good advisors. They should generally leave leadership roles to people who are more extraverted and who would enjoy them more, however.

You are The High Priestess
Science, Wisdom, Knowledge, Education.
The High Priestess is the card of knowledge, instinctual, supernatural, secret knowledge. She holds scrolls of arcane information that she might, or might not reveal to you. The moon crown on her head as well as the crescent by her foot indicates her willingness to illuminate what you otherwise might not see, reveal the secrets you need to know. The High Priestess is also associated with the moon however and can also indicate change or fluxuation, particularily when it comes to your moods.
What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.
It always comes down between the High Priestess and the Queen of Cups for me, but I'm pretty sure this quiz was sticking to the major arcana only.
I want to know what people assume about me because of my LiveJournal. Tell me at least one assumption. I won't be mean. I'm just very interested.
I'm really curious to know what people think about me in general. Be honest.
a) make a list of fifteen characters first, and keep it to yourself for the moment. (that way you're not leading the questions asked to fit the characters.)
b) ask your flist to post questions in the comments.
for example: 'one, nine and fifteen are chosen by a prophecy to save the world from four. do they succeed?'
'under what circumstances might five and seven fall in love?'
'which character on the list would you most want on your side in a zombie invasion?'
'write a drabble in which three and five fight crime.' (...possibly not technically a question.)
c) after your flist has asked enough questions, round them up and answer them using the fifteen characters you selected beforehand, then post them.
Give me a character's name and I will tell you three reasons why it would be terrible to try to date them, have sex with them, or be in a long-term relationship with them.
For an extra challenge, pick characters you know I'm fond of. Anyone can tell you reasons not to date Cthulhu, after all.
NAME A FANDOM AND I'LL TELL YOU WHICH CHARACTER I'D LOVE TO
I have an hour and a half to do anything else for my special fun journal birthday. That's long enough to make a music post, right? Who wants music?
Today Julia and I went swimming at Diane's, finished Venture Brothers (I can't get over Operation P.R.O.M... and the last two seconds of it especially) and then watched a lot of Vanguard. We started True Blood but Jake showed up halfway through it, so I guess we'll finish it tomorrow. And Julia has expressed interest in watching Weeds... if I could get the goddamn TV to acknowledge my computer.
It is too hot to live. :(
Top Five Things Meme: in which you ask me what my top five is (top five favorite bands, shows, ships, songs, celebrity crushes, flavors of ice cream, what ever you wanna know about me) and I respond with explanations and/or minipicspams.
Get me with this tonight, because tomorrow I'm leaving for Plattsburgh and then I'm going to New Bedford and my internet access will be sporadic until I get home on the 9th.
Step 1: Put your music player on shuffle.
Step 2: Post the first line or two from the first 15 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing.
Step 3: Strike through the songs when someone guesses both artist and track correctly.
Step 4: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!
Step 5: If you like the game post your own!
1. If you close the door the night could last forever
Leave the sunshine out and say hello to never
2. I don't think that it's gonna rain again today
There's a devil at your side but an angel on the way
Where the West was all but won
4. All alone again, searching for something
There's no one left to save me now
Top down, AC with the coolin' system
You never were a genius
I couldn't bring myself to call except to call it quits
Oh the warmth of your eyes swept me into your arms
And when the two collide it's no coincidence
10. When your hand brushed against mine I thought I'd collapse
I'm no rolling stone, I gather too much moss
In my best clothes trying to think of you
I put the good ones on my shoulder, I drove the other ones away
And this will be our year, took a long time to come
I threw them to sea but a gust blew them backwards
15. And the first one tore a picture of a dead and hanging man
Who was kissing foreign fishes that flew right out from his hands
What type of home do you live in (house, mobile home, apartment...)?
It's a house.
Is your home all on one level or is it a 2 story home?
We have two floors and a finished basement.
Do you consider your home to be in the country or in the city?
We're in the suburbs.
What is the most dominate color throughout your home?
Almost all of the walls are white. The downstairs furniture is mostly green.
What is on the front of your fridge right now?
A lot of magnets, a calendar, some pictures...
What is one of the oldest items in your home?
Uh... I'm not sure how old my grandmother's chair is, but that's the oldest thing I can think of.
Whether big or small -- what was the last item you purchased for your home? (Not including groceries.)
Me personally? I have no idea. My parents do all the buying for the house.
What is your favorite spot in your home?
My bedroom, because it's my space.
What was your favorite thing about this home when you first looked at it?
Okay, I didn't get to look at it before I moved in, I just moved in. I liked the kitchen, I guess, I did a lot more cooking back then.
If money was no object what is the one thing you would change in your home?
I'd convert the basement into a bedroom.
How many chairs at your dining table?
Six, I think.
What color(s) are the sheets on your bed?
Do you have a "junk drawer"? Where?
Yeah, in the kitchen next to the stove.
What is the first room you walk into from your front door?
The hallway between the living room, the kitchen, and the stairs.
How many bedrooms do you have?
Is there a fuzzy cover on the lid of any toilet in your home?
How far do you have to drive to get to the nearest Wal-Mart?
Barely two miles, I think. I was just there tonight. It takes like five minutes to get there.
Favorite piece of furniture in your home?
My bed. Although Julia's got a nicer bed.
What would you call your decorating "style"?
Fangirl chic? My room is plastered with posters and printed-out photos of hot actors, I have action figures and toys all over the place, and the most prominent pieces of furniture besides the bed are my bookshelves with all my books and DVDs on them. Packrat casual, maybe.
